This card was created for 2RedBananas.com's Banana Split Sunday Challenge. The challenge this Sunday is to make a card with a Spring theme. Go to 2RB's blog for more information. There will be a prize awarded to a random participant for this week's challenge.I made this card using 2RB's stamp set "Wrapped in His Love" by Jami Bova. It has a lot of wonderful images, even though I only used 3 of them.
The card base is cream CS with a block of brown CS adhered to it. The brown CS was randomly stamped with a flower stamp from the set using VersaMark ink, and a shimmery pink ribbon (American Crafts) was tied around it.
A block of Wild Asparagus paper was adhered to the upper left corner. The image was stamped on cream CS with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink and colored with water color pencils and a pink Stardust pen (Sakura), with gold Stardust ink in the center of each flower. I trimmed the image, inked with edges with Chestnut Roan ink and put three dots of pink Stardust ink in each corner. It was then matted on the pink side of the Wild Asparagus paper and adhered to the card front with pop dots.
The sentiment was stamped on pink Wild Asparagus paper with Chestnut Roan ink, trimmed, inked on the edges and adhered to the lower left corner of the card. I also added some pink Stardust dots to it.
I also made this get well card with leftovers from the above card.
