The Gift

Here is my sneak peek from 2RedBananas' stamp set "The Gift." I stamped the images on kraft paper with Chestnut Roan chalk ink. I colored in the image with watercolor and chalk pencils. I cut out the images and inked the edges. I used kraft paper as my card base and adhered a strip of red cardstock along the bottom, cream cardstock along the top, the edges of which I also inked with the Chestnut Roan ink. I added a piece of brown ribbon from May Arts where the two pieces of cardstock met and tied a second piece of brown ribbon to it near the right-hand side. I adhered the image to the left and used a pop dot to adhere the sentiment to the right.

  2. Your card is lovely! Great colors, such a lovely softly colored image!

Hands-down, my FAV coloring method is watercoloring with an aquapainter. I have been dabbling in other methods lately, including prismas with baby oil and even a few copics, but I get the best depth of color and the most striking results with plain ole watercolor.

  10. Don't know if my last comment posted? It never said waiting for owner approval, and the captcha word was so hard to read that my nose was on the screen, LOL. Anyways, I said H2Os closely followed by watercolour pencils.

  15. I love Jami's set. What an awesome way to showcase her 'doodling' talent!!! yeah right. she callit that, but I call it 'artistic talent'. SO happy she went for designing her very own stamps.Your design with Kraft is awesome and one of my favs. As for my FAV coloring, Im all for Marvy LePlume Markers and SU blending pens. I cant live without them andfind that time and again its the easist form to use for people like me who arent very good at coloring. :)
