Here is my sneak peek from 2RedBananas' stamp set "The Gift." I stamped the images on kraft paper with Chestnut Roan chalk ink. I colored in the image with watercolor and chalk pencils. I cut out the images and inked the edges. I used kraft paper as my card base and adhered a strip of red cardstock along the bottom, cream cardstock along the top, the edges of which I also inked with the Chestnut Roan ink. I added a piece of brown ribbon from May Arts where the two pieces of cardstock met and tied a second piece of brown ribbon to it near the right-hand side. I adhered the image to the left and used a pop dot to adhere the sentiment to the right.
BLOG HOP QUESTION:
For those of you participating in the blog hop, here is my question: What is your favorite method for coloring stamped images?
Beautiful card!! Love the color scheme!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite coloring method is prismacolor markers, I only have a few and i love how they smell too.
Your card is lovely! Great colors, such a lovely softly colored image!
ReplyDeleteHands-down, my FAV coloring method is watercoloring with an aquapainter. I have been dabbling in other methods lately, including prismas with baby oil and even a few copics, but I get the best depth of color and the most striking results with plain ole watercolor.
Beautiful card! Love the paper Kraft!
ReplyDeleteI love how other people use Copics! But I don't have them... My method of coloring is Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I love it!

Don't know if my last comment posted? It never said waiting for owner approval, and the captcha word was so hard to read that my nose was on the screen, LOL. Anyways, I said H2Os closely followed by watercolour pencils.

SO happy she went for designing her very own stamps.Your design with Kraft is awesome and one of my favs. As for my FAV coloring, Im all for Marvy LePlume Markers and SU blending pens. ReplyDeleteI love these colors together. Right now my favorite coloring method is watercolors, but I am trying to learn to use Copics. Love the coverage they give, just have trouble shading.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful. I have to admit, I don't color in many images. When I do, I tend to use watercolors.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I have to say I love this stamp set. Will definitely put it on my wish list. As for coloring, my skills are not the best but I like using the Copic markers.
ReplyDeleteThis stamp set is to die for! Love your card. For coloring images, I currently use my Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol, but I just placed my first order for Copics (which I swore I didn't want or need!!). Woohoooo!!
