BE MINE:
This weeks' 2RedBananas Banana Split Sunday Challenge is to create a Valentine! Just in time for next week, too (if you haven't made one yet... like me).
I decided to go with a not-so-traditional Valentine card. My husband is a bit of a romantic, but he still doesn't really go for the foofy pink and red hearts and cupids thing. I saw this great sketch on the Basic Grey Challenges blog and thought I would give it a try.
I used brown CS for the base and all of the DP and stickers/die cuts used on this card are from the Offbeat collection by Basic Grey. The bird image is the For Peep's Sake stamp by Imaginisce. I just love this sweet little bird! And you can get it at 2RB.
I hope you'll be sure to stop by 2RedBananas' blog and submit your Valentine, and check out the DT samples. We have some talented ladies designing for 2RB!

This card was made with a black CS base and a block of K&Co.'s Halloween Glitter Pack from last year (these papers are so awesome you almost don't need to add anything else, I hated to cover it up). I used 1 piece of purple ric rac. The 2 stamps I used were
I have always been a really big fan of Halloween. I love to go all out decorating my house, giving out candy and dressing the kids up. So, of course, I am really excited to get a Halloween stamp featuring the adorable Penny!
The card base is a brown card by Garner with a block of K&Co. DP on it. I punched the bottom edge of the card with an EK Success border punch. The quote and mat were cut with the
I did two cards using this set. The large one has a brown pre-folded card base with a block of Autumn Splendor DP. The image is colored with watercolor pencils. There is some eyelet lace, velvet ribbon and printed ribbon, along some leaves and pumpkin and brown rhinestones.
