happiness

I made this card using Crate paper leftovers from a scrapbook layout. The pieces just kind of fell together and looked really good, so I turned them into a card. The "happiness" stamp is a magnetic stamp from Making Memories.

Friendship Warms the Heart

Here is a card I made using House Mouse stamps that are available on 2RedBananas.com. I used Bazzil cardstock for the card base and Chatterbox patterned paper. The stamped image is colored using watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I added some Stickles to the hat pom pom and the knitting needles.

Time Flies

Here's my first attempt at posting a project. I was thinking of some friends I missed, and how quickly time seems to pass us by, which inspired me to use one of my favorite stamps. It's pretty simple and only took a few minutes to make.

I used Bazzil cardstock for the base of the card and I stamped the birdie onto Making Memories patterned paper and cut it out, then added a Lasting Impressions brad for the eye and adhered it to the card. I trimmed about 1 inch off the front edge of the card and adhered some ball fringe along it. I also added a strip of the patterned paper to the inside bottom edge of the card. The sentiment is from a set of Making Memories magnetic stamps and I added an American Crafts felt flower and Lasting Impressions brad.

2RedBananas is now open!

Yay! My friend's online store, 2RedBananas, is open! The site will offer a variety of scrapping goods and stamps. Not only will 2RedBananas have the 2009 House Mouse Stamp of the Month collection, but it will also be offering its own line of exclusive stamps. My friend has asked me to be on the design team, so check back for samples of these awesome new stamps.

Still plugging away...

OK. It's getting pretty close to Christmas now, and I'm still attempting to take on more stuff to do. We are now hosting a Christmas Open House for Matt's fellow employees on Saturday and I volunteered to create placards for a church function this Wednesday. Oh yeah, and I'm still working on Christmas gifts... and finishing the 100 Christmas cards we need to send out... soon. The cards at least are finished. We're just tweaking our newsletter and waiting for the photos I ordered to come in. And we have to sign and address them all. Yikes!

Christmas is coming...

Why is it that every year I say I'm going to start doing my Christmas crafting earlier, and, yet, I never do? I still have things to finish (like 100 Christmas cards) and things I haven't even started yet. I always have such grandiose plans... Mini albums for grandparents, calendars for loved ones, framed paper art, creative gift wrapping, etc.

Now, back to reality. I guess I better go start working on these projects right now.

My Maiden Voyage

OK. This is my first time blogging, and I'm just now setting up my blog. I'm not really sure what to do (I never even kept a diary as a kid), but I'm willing to give it a try. It all started because I have this friend... Anyway, this is my first entry, but I will attempt to have more interesting and informative entries in the near future.
