2RB Banana Split Sunday Challenge 24

SKETCH CHALLENGE:

Today's 2RedBananas Banana Split Sunday Challenge is to use the sketch found on 2RB's blog to create a project. There will be a prize randomly awarded to one participant.

As I may have mentioned before, I LOVE sketches. Not that I can't design my own layout for a project, of course, but a sketch just takes off the pressure and I can concentrate on the soothing task of cutting and gluing. This card is for a friend of mine (who is a lot edgier than I am) and I know she will appreciate the subtleness of the skulls. Who says skulls can't be pretty?

The base is green CS with a block of DP from the Alison Collection by My Mind's Eye. All of the DP is from this collection. The leopard print paper block has three white eyelets with rhinestone centers across the top of it. These eyelets are called Easy Eyelets (I think) and they don't need a setter, all you need is an ink pen to set them. They're pretty awesome.

The image is from A Spring Thing stamp set by 2RedBananas. She's colored with watercolor pencils. I paper pieced some skull DP as her dress. I thought it was funny that she looks so sweet and innocent... and has a skull on her dress.

This project was fun to put together. I hope my friend gets a kick out of it. Go to 2RedBananas' blog to participate in the challenge and to see the samples by our talented DT.
